Terra Nobody’s New Single “Runnin on Empty” Addresses Mental Health During The Everlasting Pandemic
Terra Nobody’s newest single “Runnin on Empty” is set to release 5/20. It is a deep, meaningful listen with layers to peel back. The introspective nature of the lyrics and overall message creates the same effect for the listener. The lyrics “nothing is real except everything you feel” are crooned in an emotion laden hook. The ambient vibes created through a beautiful pairing of instrumentation, driving Trip-Hop drums, and songwriting set the tone for self reflection. Overall the song delivers on what great art pieces should contain. It shifts the emotional state of the consumer and makes you think about life. With COVID still causing us all to exist in a pandemic state, the timing for this single couldn’t be better.

“Runnin on Empty” was written in 2020 during the U.S. election, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It represents Terra Nobody realizing that they have been giving all of their energy to external forces until they had nothing left to give. Extremely relatable music based on the circumstances we have all faced the past two years. Terra Nobody will be playing this and many more of their songs on 05/21/22 for KEXPs 50th anniversary at Tractor Tavern.
